Junior Reis, software developer I’m Junior Reis, a software developer. I build web apps, APIs, and data systems — including GIS when the problem is spatial — from Salvador, Brazil, for teams anywhere.

Software Developer at SIHS (Government of Bahia). I ship production products end to end — React/TypeScript UIs, Node APIs, databases, and geospatial tools when the domain needs maps.

From Salvador to remote teams worldwide

I build and ship software end to end — interfaces, APIs, and data. GIS is one of my strongest stacks, not the only thing I do.

Most of my work is product engineering: schema design, auth, REST APIs, and React/TypeScript apps that real teams use daily. I care about shipping something maintainable — not demos that die after the pitch.

At SIHS (Government of Bahia) that means portals, booking systems, and water-network tools. When the domain is spatial I use ArcGIS, PostGIS, and MapLibre; when it isn’t, I still own the full stack.

I’m looking for international remote roles — full-stack, backend, or product engineering — including teams that need strong GIS skills in the mix.

ArcGIS Enterprise for hydraulic planning and water/sanitation networks.

Publish and maintain the GIS stack water teams use in the browser, plus the surrounding software — REST APIs, auth, and internal tools that sit on the same government infrastructure.

  • ArcGIS Web maps, Dashboards, and Experience Builder apps for network planning and field/office staff.
  • Data PostGIS / PostgreSQL as source of truth; APIs shared by maps and ops tools.
  • Software Systems portal and meeting-room booking with LDAP — products beyond the map.

Corporate infrastructure: keep servers, networks, and people unblocked so engineering work can ship.

  • Infra Windows Server and corporate network monitoring in a live operations environment.
  • Ops L1/L2 tickets and SLAs — incident triage, not just hardware swaps.
  • IAM Active Directory, workstations, and the access layer the rest of the company sits on.

Independent projects

End-to-end web products for clients — prototype to production, with the same delivery bar as the GIS work: ship it, don’t just demo it.

  • Web Landing pages and dashboards in React / TypeScript, designed to convert and to last.
  • Integrate Payments, APIs, and relational databases wired into real user flows.
  • Ship CI-friendly deploys on Vercel — lean pipelines, SEO, maintainable code.
